Berlin Premiere
Content note: war
Wars and conflicts shape the modern news landscape. Critical journalism in crisis regions poses a particular challenge, especially for female journalists working in patriarchal countries. Director Lotta Pommerien accompanies three German women working in Africa, Asia and on Europe’s external border. Silke Diettrich reports on Afghanistan for the ARD from India, Simone Schlindwein is a correspondent for the taz and covers places like Congo, and Juliane Tutein is a freelance journalist reporting on Ukraine and Belarus. All three give honest insights into their job and its limits.
- Followed by Q&A: The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Lotta Pommerien and journalist and protagonist Juliane Tutein.
