UNAPOLOGETIC follows Janaé and Bella, two Black Lives Matter activists working in Chicago to solve the murders of Rekia Boyd and Laquan McDonald and fight to convict their killers– police officers. As part of the Black Lives Matter movement, the protagonists rebel against state violence. The film follows them as they work in activist groups, college and at hearings. In the process, they organize queerfeminist groups and different forms of protest. A film about the Black Lives Matter movement in Chicago and its young queerfeminist leaders.
