Thousands of women travelling to the Middle East in search of employment end up trapped in a life of constant harassment, abuse and rape. MAID IN HELL gives unique access to a brutal form of modern slavery: the Kafala system. Allowing employers to confiscate the passports of their maids and punish them harshly if they dare trying to flee, this system is the cage in which many migrant domestic helpers suffer sometimes deadly experiences. MAID IN HELL is an unprecedented recollection of the grotesque reality of these women.
