Štefan Pongo has built himself a respectable life. The sweet-tempered family man once emigrated from the Czech Republic to Great Britain, where he now enjoys British citizenship, lives with his wife and children in a terraced house and is happy when the grandchildren come to visit – until his life falls apart. Pongo is a truck driver and whiles away the long journeys on social media, where he sees a politician describing the Rom*nja as lazy, as people who refuse to work. Pongo reacts immediately. He streams a rebuttal live from his driver's cabin – and goes viral overnight. Suddenly, he is a hero with a voice. He establishes a movement campaigning for the rights of Rom*nja throughout Europe – which suits neither his wife nor everyone in his community.
