HÁWAR.help e.V. was founded on the ashes of the genocide against the Yazidis and is committed to a world of freedom, care and fairness. The human rights organisation implements development and education programmes in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany. For a world in which everyone can flourish regardless of origin, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion. For a world in which no one is dehumanised.

SUPPORT THE SCORING GIRLS PROJECT WITH YOUR DONATION

The SCORING GIRLS* projects in Germany and Iraq offer girls and young women - regardless of their nationality, socio-economic background or religious beliefs - the opportunity to discover their strengths and interests together and build up enough self-confidence to realise their life dreams. Through team sports, school and homework help, career guidance and the involvement of strong female role models, the project participants learn to treat each other with respect and to believe in themselves - whether in the classroom or on the football pitch.

SUPPORT COUNSELLING FOR REFUGEES AND MIGRANTS

Despite the recognised genocide of Yazidis and the continuing threat of persecution, Germany is deporting people to Iraq - as it is to other life-threatening countries. There is often a lack of information and support services for refugees. At the Kontakt- und Beratungsstelle für Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen (KuB) provides initial advice, asylum, residence and psychosocial counselling as well as low-threshold social counselling in many languages. There is also a counselling service for particularly vulnerable women*. The KuB also organises German courses to break down language barriers, facilitate participation and strengthen contacts among new arrivals.
