Right-wing populist Viktor Orbán has ruled Hungary for fourteen years. Since taking office, he has been deliberately dismantling institutions and trying to establish a nation-state that is neither liberal nor democratic. Director Connie Field has spent years following three women who are challenging the increasingly authoritarian regime: Tímea was an activist and journalist before entering politics in 2009. Niko, a carer and activist, has distanced herself from the right-wing conservative views of her family. And Babett, a lesbian investigative journalist, uncovers corruption. A portrait of three intrepid women fighting against the disintegration of democracy in their country.
